Christian Health Association of Sierra Leone (CHASL) is a non-governmental, non-profit making, interdenominational health coordinating agency whose secretariat in Freetown was established in 1975 and serves over 40 Christian health institutions in Sierra Leone. CHASL works with a mission to provide affordable, good quality health care services for the people of Sierra Leone. CHASL has partnerships with health agencies in other countries like CORDAID, Netherlands and CRWRC, USA and Canada.
CHASL’s overall objectives are to promote the best possible health care for the greatest number of people in Sierra Leone through: Developing and sharing human and material resources and fostering communication and cooperation among the members themselves and between CHASL and GOSL , Joint planning based on information collected from surveys of people’s needs and searching for alternative methods of health care provision for the many people not yet reached.
